Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 8, 2011
Persistent Corporation is currently in its pre-launch stage and is therefore not yet offering Global Archive services. Once we launch our commercial services, this privacy policy will be significantly amended to address privacy within the scope of those services. Until then, then this policy is significantly simplified.
- Generally, Persistent Corporation's website ("our website") does not provide content for children and we do not collect identifiable information of children
- Our site does not use cookies or any other tracking technology that can identify the visitor, or information about them over multiple visits
- In order to display information optimally, our site may temporarily collect your IP address, the IP address of the website you linked to us from, the name of your domain, the type of browser and OS you are using, the date and time our site is accessed, and the pages visited. This information does not identify you personally.
- The only personal information we are collecting prior to service launch are from those who wish to be on one of our targeted purpose lists, such as to receive future announcements by email. Participation is entirely voluntary and optional. Submitting information constitutes your consent for Persistent Corporation to use the information for the purpose stated and indicates to us that you are aware of Persistent Corporation's Privacy Policy provisions.
- If you register for participation with one or more of our lists, or otherwise send us an email, some of your personal information will therefore be revealed and necessarily tracked and viewed by Persistent Corporation personnel. We may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services. Reasonable efforts will be maintained to keep such information confidential and in no case will be sold or provided to other parties for commercial purposes. You may also ask to be deleted from a list by email by sending a message to the original sender address with the subject of "Please opt me out of list name", or a substantially similar message.
- This Policy applies to Persistent Corporation services and web pages only. We do not exercise control over sites that may be linked from within our various pages. It should be assumed that any such other sites would have their own policy that may be substantially different.
Security
Unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage to our website, are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under applicable Federal law, including but not limited to the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act. For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, Persistent Corporation reserves the right to utilize software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage to the information on our website.

Please note that this Privacy Policy will change from time to time. We will post Privacy Policy changes on this page. Each version of this Privacy Policy will be identified at the top of the page by its effective date, and we will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review by request.
